About
Hello dear customer!
My name is Nick Kreutzer and Nwkreutzer, otherwise known as NWK, is a company I founded in 2025 to encompass all of my artistic and creative ventures.
I specialize in screen-printing and making handmade one of one garments. However, I am an artist at heart. And so while I am mostly interested in making clothing at the moment, I'm also very frequently intrigued by learning and trying new techniques and new mediums.
I like to think of myself as an experimental artist, trying to test the boundaries of what I am capable of. Given enough time to learn and adapt, I like to think I can do or make anything.
Some people say they can't even draw a stick figure, but it's not that they can't, it's that they won't because they don't believe they can.
Bop
Bop is a character my college roommates and I made freshman year in our dorm room.
Some of us were art students and we used to draw on index cards every day. Bop was not a planned idea but actually a spur of the moment collaboration.
Although we're not exactly sure at this point who drew what part of Bop, one of us drew his shape, and eyes and mouth, and another one of us drew his features, i.e. his top hat and briefcase.
After he was created, we gave him the name "Bop". For no other reason than that the word was just becoming popular at the time and we used it frequently.
The rest is history, Bop became a symbol of our comradery and started taking up many facets of our lives. Eventually Bop was turned into a short graphic novel (that I need to find actually) and given a bunch of lore.
So yeah as it turns out, Bop is part of a species of aliens from another planet call "Bops". But I'll dive more into the lore later when I find that comic book.
Bop ended up becoming the center of many of my projects because I liked seeing the different ways he could be incorporated into the art I was making. I even brought him to life in a daring project where I decided to screen-print an entire flipbook animation. Let me tell you that shit was not easy especially cause I was an amateur and decided to do 2 colors instead of 1.
But then Bop also became a series of parties that we threw annually in college called "BopFests". Ahh those were some good parties.
At that time too we used to hang up a massive 6 foot by 12 foot pieces of paper on the wall that everybody who came in the crib was required to draw or write something on before they left.
At some point sophomore year, I personally took the initiative to bring Bop further and throw him on t-shirts as a project for my screen-printing class. The first Bop tees were two color prints and only 6 t-shirts were made for me and my roommates. I don't fit in mine anymore but I should frame it.
The second version of tees were done junior year in 3 different colorways: sky blue, yellow, sage green. I decided to try bleaching for the first time when I made them and so each tee ended up being 1 of 1 and there were 30 total.
I also decided to do random color prints ranging from white to black to red. Congrats to whoever bought one of those, I sold most of them at the second BopFest we threw. And I must apologize it was my first time bleaching and I did not dilute the bleach at all and those tees disintegrated so quick. I also used Speedpall fabric inks which is just painful to say. IYKYK
Given the success of the second run of Bop tees though, I decided to make a bunch more designs and turn him into something more. Next came the Merry Boptober Tees and then the Cowboy Standoff Tees which are actually an inside joke, but no one really knows.
Bop has been a big part of my life and while he is very simple by design his history and story make him very complex in my eyes. This is really the most I've ever expanded on his lore and so if you made it this far, thank you and be a part of the Bop history by getting yourself something Bop related!
